Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Planyfin financial planning application available at planyfin.com (the "Service"), operated by Planyfin ("we", "us", or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Use of the Service

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for your internal business or personal financial planning purposes. You may not:

Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or resell any part of the Service.
Upload or transmit any malicious code or content.
Use the Service to store or process data that violates any applicable law.

2. Accounts

You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

3. Your Data

You retain ownership of all financial data and content you input into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. QuickBooks Integration

If you connect your QuickBooks Online account, you authorize us to access your Profit & Loss data on your behalf via the Intuit API for the sole purpose of displaying actuals within the Service. You may revoke this access at any time from within the Service. Your use of QuickBooks is also subject to Intuit's Terms of Service.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT THE FINANCIAL PROJECTIONS GENERATED ARE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR ANY BUSINESS DECISION. PLANYFIN IS A PLANNING TOOL AND IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR PROFESSIONAL FINANCIAL OR LEGAL ADVICE.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PLANYFIN SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Planyfin and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Planyfin operates, without regard to conflict of law principles.
